19 years old, hoping to change the world (who isn't?).

A deep nemophiliac, I adore camping and hiking, kayaking and canoeing, and communing with nature. I am also an avid reader; my bookshelves are stuffed with every genre, with an especial love of Mark Twain and Jack Kerouac. I have books on sailing, metaphysics, art, zoology, and discourses on politics and economics.

After finally reading Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance  by Pirsig, I was so taken that I immediately resolved to go on a road trip as soon as possible. On the Road likewise affected me.

I always dreamed of being a writer, but aside from a few short stories of dubious literary value, I have not fulfilled this. Someday, perhaps.

My greatest inspiration came in the form of a friend of mine in Australia, who listened to my alternating mood swings of wanderlust and fear of the unknown before finally telling me if I was going to do it, do it, and if not, then be quiet about it! So I decided to travel.

After finishing up my two degrees (B.A. in English, B.S. in Biology at University of Texas in Austin), I plan on taking up a nomad lifestyle and visit Australia, backpack in Europe, and finally see what is right outside my door.
